Applications for
2022-2023 PreKindergarten
 
Please call the school at 840-9700 for information about applying for 2022-2023 prekindergarten.
(If your child is accepted, you will also be required to complete online enrollment in Skyward Family Access.)
 
 
Your child must be 4 years old on or before
Aug. 15, 2022, to attend 2022-2023 PreK at MES.
 
 
The parent must complete the following documents:
 
 
 
 
In addition to the Income Eligibility Form and the PreK Application,
parents must provide the following documents:
 
Completing the PreK application packet does NOT guarantee enrollment in the program.
PreK is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify.

 

1.  child’s certified birth certificate (not the mother’s copy)

Children born in the state of Tennessee may obtain a certified copy from the Health Department.

 

2.  proof of residency within the MES school zone

The following documents are acceptable proof of residency (all documents must be in the parent's name and include the address): property tax records; mortgage document or property deed; apartment or house rent/lease agreement; current utility bill; automobile registration

NOTE: Cable bills and phone bills are NOT acceptable proof of residency.

 

3.  proof of income

The following documents are acceptable proof of income: payroll check stub, W-2 form, income tax form, or proof of Food Stamps eligibility

 

4. Tennessee Certificate of Immunization form

with completed Health Examination Documentation (top right corner of form) or other proof of physical examination by a physician within one calendar year

 

All requirements listed above must be completed and submitted before any child is eligible.
The application process will not be complete until all paperwork is received at the school.
Students will not be placed on any list until the application process is completed.
 
If you are unable to provide any of the requested documents,
please contact your zoned school principal.
 
Pre-K is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify.
 
Completing the Tipton County application for Pre-K does not necessarily
guarantee enrollment in the Pre-K program.
 
If a child is accepted into the Pre-K program, they will
receive an acceptance letter after July 1, 2022.
Once the acceptance letter is received, parents/guardians must
enroll the student online via New Student Enrollment.
Students cannot be issued a homeroom or class
schedule until the online enrollment is complete.
 
Non-qualifying students will be placed on a waiting list.
These students will be considered if an opening becomes available.
