Applications for
2023-2024 PreKindergarten
will be accepted
April 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
May 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
 
 
(If your child is accepted, you will also be required to complete online enrollment in Skyward Family Access.)
 
 
Your child must be 4 years old on or before
Aug. 15, 2023, to attend 2023-2024 PreK at MES.
 
 
The parent must complete the following documents:
 
 
 
 
In addition to the Income Eligibility Form and the PreK Application,
parents must provide the following documents:
 
Completing the PreK application packet does NOT guarantee enrollment in the program.
PreK is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify.

 

1.  proof of income

The following documents are acceptable proof of income: payroll check stub, W-2 form, income tax form, or proof of Food Stamps eligibility

 

2.  proof of residency (E-911 address)

The following documents are acceptable proof of residency (all documents must be in the parent's name and include the address): property tax records; mortgage document or property deed; apartment or house rent/lease agreement; current utility bill; automobile registration

NOTE: Cable bills and phone bills are NOT acceptable proof of residency.

 

3.  child’s certified birth certificate or officially acceptable evidence of date of birth

 

 

If a child is accepted into the program, the following documents must be provided:

 

1. Proof of Physical Examination (within 1 calendar year)

 

2. Proof of Immunization on a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization Form from the Health Department or a physician's office

 

3.  proof of income

The following documents are acceptable proof of income: payroll check stub, W-2 form, income tax form, or proof of Food Stamps eligibility

 

All requirements listed above must be completed and submitted before any child is eligible.
Students will NOT be placed on any list until ALL paperwork has been received. In other words, students will be placed on a list according to the date paperwork and documents are complete and returned to school.
 
 
Pre-K is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify.
 
Completing the Tipton County application for Pre-K does not necessarily guarantee enrollment in the Pre-K program. Non-qualifying students will NOT be notified until after school has started.
 
Non-qualifying students will be placed on a waiting list. Once all qualifying students are placed, non-qualifying students will receive notice informing them of their status as soon as possible after the beginning of school.
 
If a child is accepted into the Pre-K program, they will
receive an acceptance letter after July 1, 2023.
Once the acceptance letter is received, parents/guardians must
enroll the student online via New Student Enrollment.
